How often should I repaint my house exterior in Christchurch?
As a rough guide, timber exteriors want a repaint every seven to ten years, sooner on weather-facing walls. We can tell you honestly whether yours needs a full repaint or just some attention.
What is the best time of year to paint outside?
Spring through autumn is ideal when surfaces are dry and temperatures are stable. We plan exterior work around the weather so the coating cures the way it should.
Can you paint over old flaking paint?
Not straight over it. Flaking paint is scraped back and the surface made sound first, because painting over loose paint just means it fails again faster.
